為迎接《三國志》系列30週年發售的3DS版《三國志2》即將於2015年8月6日發售。遊戲在名作《三國志III》的基礎上加入了新的劇本與武將，是粉絲們不可錯過的一款作品。

《三國志》系列一向以多種多樣的劇本和武將廣為人知，本作中將包含“挑戰劇本”模式。玩家在完成劇本製定的目標後即可通關，之後會根據目標達成時的狀況給與CS四段評價，隨後會根據獲得的評價得到不同的獎勵。同時遊戲中除支持新武將的做成，也可以編輯現有武將的性格和能力，本作中包含系列中超過2000張登場武將的頭像。針對系列高手，遊戲中也增加了超級難度，不管是新玩家還是老玩家，都可以從《三國志2》中獲得樂趣。
